Jones and Bartlett Publishers Acquires Ugly’s Electrical References

Wednesday, July 30, 2008, Sudbury, MA – Jones and Bartlett Publishers (J&B) today announced the acquisition of Ugly’s Electrical References, the most popular pocket-sized electrical reference on the market. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Ugly’s Electrical References was originally written by George V. Hart, a union electrician, in 1978. Hart condensed a lifetime of electrical experience into his one-volume “toolbox library.” The electrical industry responded with overwhelming support for this essential reference tool, and that support remains strong to this day.

Ugly’s Electrical References is updated every three years following the release of the revised National Electrical Code.
